The building is the former home of Electro-Vox Studios, which started in 1931 and is said to be the oldest private recording studio in the world. This historic venue is regarded as one of the independent music studios in the world. Bing Crosby, Bob hope Adele, Elton John, Jerry Lewis, Adele, Jack White, The Killers, Vampire Weekend and many other renowned artists have recorded here.
